How to make a tier list video with images and verdicts
To make a tier list video, define your tier labels and criteria, assign each item to a tier, and put the items in your preferred reveal order. VideoMason then animates each placement with its image and optional comment.

Define what the tiers mean
An S-to-F tier list works when viewers understand the judgement. For a product review, your criteria might be reliability and ease of use. For league standings, use qualification bands or a documented grouping of current ranks.
Explain whether the list is your opinion, a data-based grouping, or a combination. An opinion does not need a fake numeric precision; a statistical list needs a source and a date.
Create a paced reveal
- Open Tier list, rename the tiers if needed, and choose their colours.
- Add each item’s name, image and tier. Write a short comment that explains the placement.
- Arrange items in the order you want them revealed. This order can be different from the final tier order.
- Set seconds per item, preview the comments, and generate the MP4 in your chosen aspect ratio.
Use evidence viewers can inspect
For a current sports ranking, note the competition and observation date. A league table changes after each match; a video without a date can quickly look wrong even when it was accurate when you made it.
VideoMason’s supported sports sources can turn league standings into tiers. TheSportsDB may return a limited table on its free key, and the adapter can use rank bands when qualification groups would make a thin list. Check that the available rows support your intended claim.
Keep images and text readable
Use recognisable images you have permission to publish. Short comments are easier to follow than a paragraph during each placement. Check the crowded final board and the first reveal on a small screen.
If exact numeric rank matters more than tier membership, use the data cards countdown. If rank changes across dates, use the bar chart race.

Common questions
Can I rename the tiers?
Yes. Tier labels and colours are editable; the starter uses S-to-F labels.
Is a tier list automatically objective?
No. Viewers need to know the criteria, data source or reviewer judgement behind each placement.
